Prolium is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Journeyman Hand Welders who are willing to work throughout Eastern Canada. Ability to come on as a contractor or Employee. Why work for Us? Gain experience in industrial storage tank maintenance operations Work on a safety focused team Competitive pay rates Opportunities to travel throughout Canada Key Responsibilities: Fabricating and welding (SMAW) of tank components to the highest of industry standards Out of position welding (SMAW) Reading and understanding drawings and blueprints Use of various tools and equipment under supervision (grinders, hydraulic jacks, etc.) General work with steel (grinding, buffing, oxy-acetylene use etc.) Participate in all daily toolboxes and safety meetings Working with the team to ensure a quality product is delivered. Must be physically fit and able to safely lift 50 lbs The work may require you to enter confined Spaces General jobsite support Key Qualifications: Punctual attendance is a requirement. Comply with all safety requirements Successfully complete a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Must provide proof of completion of all required safety certifications Bring a positive, ‘can-do’, ‘safety first’ attitude every day Participate with the team to build and maintain a productive and protected work setting.
