Senior Principal Security Design Engineer (Toronto)

Overview Our Arm Solutions Engineering SoC Security Team is seeking creative and enthusiastic SoC Design Engineers to join our diverse and highly-skilled team. We have exciting opportunities for innovative designers with demonstrated expertise in security design including cryptography, key management, embedded microprocessor systems, hardware root of trust, and secure boot. You will contribute to the specification, design, verification, and productization of security IP spanning a diverse portfolio of market solutions. Key Responsibilities - Write micro‑architecture specifications, develop RTL, fix bugs, run design exploration and structural checks. - Develop hardware IP, partner with verification team to build test plans, support verification debugging, and achieve functional, power, and performance sign‑off. - Contribute to development and enhancement of design methodologies shared by the team. - Guide and support team members and collaborate with project management on activities, plans, and schedules. Preferred Qualifications - Completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, electrical/computer engineering, or related field. - Experience in the design of complex compute subsystems or SoCs. - Solid understanding of digital hardware design EDA methodologies and Verilog HDL. - Experience with security hardware, embedded processor systems, applied cryptography, secure boot, and key management. - Proficiency in scripting languages such as Perl, Python, Tcl, or others. - Experience in synthesis, timing analysis, static design checks (CDC, RDC, X‑Propagation, linting). - Knowledge of power management techniques.
