Your Impact Starts Here Graham is actively recruiting for a Pre-Construction Director to support the Infrastructure Division. Reporting to the Senior Operations Director, this role leads all pre-construction activities, including estimating and budgeting, schedule development, constructability, procurement, and benchmarking. The Pre-Construction Director oversees complex proposal development, manages client and stakeholder relationships from opportunity through contract award, and defines the overall pre-construction strategy, including team coordination and resource allocation. Your Role in Building What Matters – From Office to Site - Set and own the enterprise-level pre-construction strategy for the business unit, providing executive oversight across estimating, scheduling, procurement, risk, and proposal development. - Lead the development of winning pursuits and bid strategies, defining competitive positioning, win themes, and commercial structures aligned with client evaluation criteria and business objectives. - Provide financial governance for all pre-construction activities, ensuring disciplined oversight of budgets, fees, contingencies, risk exposure, and internal approvals prior to contract execution. - Build, lead, and develop a high-performing Pre-Construction organization, including talent strategy, resource allocation, capability development, and continuous improvement of processes and standards. - Act as a senior representative with clients, consultants, and partners, strengthening strategic relationships, aligning expectations, and ensuring pursuits support Graham’s long-term growth strategy. The Right Tools for the Job - Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, or a related field; professional credentials such as P.Eng, PMP, or LEED are considered strong assets. - Experience: 10–15 years of progressive experience in pre-construction, estimating, project management, or construction leadership, including senior-level involvement with large, complex delivery models (e.g., P3, design-build). - Skills & Capabilities: Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, develop winning bid strategies, provide financial and risk governance.
