Assistant Store Manager – Vaughan Mills, Toronto, ON Lead a high‑performing, customer‑centric team in partnership with the Store Manager to deliver world‑class guest experiences, foster brand awareness, and drive profitability in a dynamic retail environment. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and develop a team aligned with Arc’teryx Vision, Purpose, and Values. Oversee floor operations, including experience, product, community, operations, and people pillars. Train and coach staff using the Arc’teryx Guest Journey and best‑in‑class service principles. Identify and nurture future store leaders, creating a pipeline in partnership with the Store Manager. Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, training, performance management, and offboarding. Set and pursue bold objectives for both store performance and community engagement. Build brand presence and guest loyalty by upholding the company’s mission and values. Champion floor leadership and exceptional guest experience by leading from the floor five days a week. Empower the team to exercise sound judgment in all guest service matters. Support the Store Manager in all store operations, collaborating on events and community initiatives with the Community Marketing Manager. Evaluate team staffing and development needs quarterly to ensure alignment with current and future business requirements. Qualifications 2–3 years of leadership and retail management experience. Dynamic leadership skills with a proven ability to recruit, hire, train, motivate, retain, and develop future leaders. Entrepreneurial spirit and continuous learning mentality. Passion for service and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting sales, gross margin, expense control, and net profit management. Transparent vision setting, team alignment, and fostering commitment to shared objectives. Balance of autonomy and collaboration in decision‑making. Commitment to ethical and right‑guided actions. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent time management, problem‑solving, and Microsoft Office proficiency. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Expectations Availability must align with store needs, including flexible shift scheduling (morning, evening, weekend). Must be available to work on Black Friday (the day after U.S. Thanksgiving) and continuously from the second week of December through the end of the holiday season. Accountable for executing all deliverables outlined in the Assistant Store Manager Role and Responsibilities document. Compensation and Benefits Base salary: CAD 60,000 – CAD 82,500 per year (market‑adjusted and based on experience). The range is supplemented by a competitive bonus program and additional advantages. Hours: Full‑time, 40 hours per week (five days a week). Compensation: Salaried.
