Senior C++ Application Developer (Toronto)

Venture outside the ordinary – TMX Careers. The TMX group of companies includes leading global exchanges such as the Toronto Stock Exchange and Montreal Exchange. As part of the DataXchange Squad, you will work on high‑frequency trading and up-to-date cloud engineering to develop and manage month‑end billing and settlement files for all TMX markets. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement high‑performance C++ applications. Lead code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to high‑level architectural decisions. Build sophisticated scripts in Python and Bash to automate repetitive tasks, optimize CI/CD pipelines, and manage system monitoring. Debug and resolve complex production issues across all layers of the stack. Provide Tier‑3 technical support for critical production escalations. Required Skills & Qualifications 5‑6 years of professional experience with C++ (C++17/20 experience a plus). 3‑4 years of practical experience with Python, SQL, and Perl for system automation and data manipulation. Proven experience with containerized application development (Docker/Kubernetes) in AWS, GCP, or Azure. Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Interest in leveraging AI Agents and LLM‑based tools to accelerate development. Self‑starter with excellent communication skills, able to work independently in a fast‑paced, dedicated team. University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Nice to haves Experience in a adaptable environment and continuous process improvement. Strong organizational skills and ability to meet established plans and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork. Capacity to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
