Software Engineer for Sportsbook Enablement (Toronto)

Transform our platform as a Software Engineer for Sportsbook Enablement at Penn Interactive. You will collaborate with various teams while tackling complex technical challenges using Elixir/Phoenix, Rust, and Java. Join the Sportsbook Enablement team at Penn Interactive, responsible for creating and supporting key foundational services. As a software engineer, you will build, maintain, and enhance internal applications with a focus on scalability and reliability. You will work in a collaborative Agile/Scrum setting, ensuring product delivery and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: • Build and maintain internal applications on our platform • Collaborate with other teams for effective service integration • Design and deliver new features within an Agile environment • Optimize gRPC endpoints, GraphQL APIs, and SQL queries • Mentor developers and support their learning efforts Requirements: • Minimum of three years’ software engineering experience • Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and systems • Proficiency in relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL • Experience with API development and modern web frameworks • Familiarity with testing frameworks like ExUnit or RSpec Utilize your skills in clean code architecture and distributed systems at Penn Interactive.
