Line Cook (Toronto)

Paese Ristorante is looking for a Line Cook to join our team! Location: 3829 Bathurst St, North York, Ontario Primary Duties/Responsibilities - Maintain a positive attitude when working with the full kitchen team - Contribute to producing quality food products by learning and working on all stations, salads, pizza, pasta and grill. - Having ownership and accountability for food preparation and production to ensure that it is executed according to the standards set by the chef - Ensure consistency of product for all guests by way of portion control standards set by the chef - Maintain proper food storage i.e. FIFO rotation of products, labeling, dating, etc. - Follow safe food handling techniques and ensure a clean and organized station Skills/Qualifications: - 2-3 years in a similar position - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong sense of urgency - Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment - Ability to multitask and prioritize duties - Operate large volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep fryers + mixers - Possesses robust organizational skills - Food Handler’s Certification (preferred but not required) What’s in it for you? - Hourly rate $20/hr-$23/hr, depending on experience - Family meal daily - Ongoing professional development opportunities - Dining discounts Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour Benefits - Discounted or free food - Flexible schedule - Paid time off Language: - English (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2ps0dy
