Graphic Designer (6 Month Contract) Coastal Digital Group | Toronto, ON | Full-Time Contract Compensation: $27,000 – $32,000 (depending on experience) Please submit all resumes to: SUMMARY: Coastal Digital Group (CDG) is looking for a talented and driven Graphic Designer to join our team on a 6 month contract basis. This role is being brought on to support our creative team during a planned leave of absence, and will focus primarily on building campaign creative for our clients across digital advertising platforms. The ideal candidate is a strong visual communicator with deep proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Reporting to the Head of Business Development, the Graphic Designer (Contract) will work closely with our creative and account teams to produce high-quality campaign assets for clients across a wide range of industries and formats. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled designer to make an immediate impact in a agile agency workplace. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: The Graphic Designer (Contract) is responsible for: • Campaign Creative Production: Design and produce digital advertising creative across multiple formats — including display banners, rich media, video pre-rolls, social ads, and native placements — ensuring all assets meet platform specs and client brand standards. • Video Editing & Motion: Edit and produce video ad content using Adobe Premiere Pro and/or After Effects, including cuts, motion graphics, and format adaptations for various placements and aspect ratios. • Creative Briefing & Execution: Translate creative briefs and campaign strategies into polished, on-brand visual executions that deliver on client KPIs. • Collaboration: Work closely with the account and business development teams to understand campaign goals, incorporate feedback, and align creative output with client objectives. • Asset Management: Organize and maintain creative files, version control, and deliverable libraries to ensure smooth handoff and trafficking. • Quality Control: Review all creative outputs prior to delivery to ensure accuracy, brand consistency, and compliance with platform requirements. • Project Management: Manage multiple concurrent projects with the ability to prioritize workload, meet deadlines, and communicate progress clearly. EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND: • Education: Post-secondary education in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related field is preferred. An equivalent combination of training and experience will be considered. • Experience: 1 year of hands-on experience or co-op in graphic design with a strong focus on digital advertising creative. Agency experience is an asset. • Adobe Proficiency (Required): Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite — specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects. Experience with Adobe XD or InDesign is a bonus. • Video Editing: Demonstrated ability to produce and edit video content for advertising use, including format adaptation, motion graphics, and audio syncing. • Digital Advertising Knowledge: Understanding of digital ad formats, specs, and best practices across platforms including display, social, video, and programmatic. • Attention to Detail: Strong eye for detail with the ability to maintain brand consistency across all deliverables, including fonts, colours, logos, and assets. • Multi-tasker: Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting tight deadlines without sacrificing quality. • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills (written and verbal), team-oriented mindset, and the ability to receive and action feedback professionally. • Portfolio: A portfolio demonstrating campaign creative and video editing work is required for consideration. • Location: Remote position, however must be based in Toronto, ON.
