Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated researcher with a PhD in Mathematics, specializing in Numerical Analysis and strong theoretical foundations in applied and computational mathematics. The ideal candidate will have experience developing, analyzing, and implementing numerical methods for complex problems. A solid background in theoretical chemistry, particularly in computational quantum chemistry, is considered a strong asset. The successful candidate should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, the ability to work across interdisciplinary teams, and a proven capacity for independent research and problem-solving. Strong commendation and interpersonal skills are a must. This is an ideal role for someone who wants some industry experience prior to another postdoctoral or a faculty position . Responsibilities Conduct original research in numerical analysis for the problems presented Develop mathematical models and algorithms to solve quantum chemical problems. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and data analysts to apply mathematical theories to practical applications. Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at academic conferences. Stay current with advancements in the field of research. Contribute to grant writing and proposal development for funding recent research initiatives. Qualifications Ph.D. in Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, or Scientific Computing Robust analytical skills with proficiency in advanced mathematical concepts and techniques. Experience with MATLAB and Julia Demonstrated ability to conduct independent research and publish scholarly articles. Effective communication skills for presenting complex ideas clearly to diverse audiences. Nice-to-have skills include experience with machine learning, data analysis, or statistical modeling; familiarity with software development; and prior experience working on interdisciplinary research projects.
