Position Overview As a Cook 2– Overnight In‑Room Dining, you are responsible for delivering consistent, high‑quality culinary offerings to guests during overnight hours. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a calm, organized manner while upholding luxuryservice standards. You play a key role in ensuring guests receive exceptional dining experiences at any hour of the night.
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and plate In‑Room Dining menu items overnight in accordance with established recipes and brand standards
Execute orders efficiently and accurately during overnight service, ensuring quality, consistency, and proper presentation
Complete required prep for the morning shift, ensuring stations, ingredients, and key components are ready for a smooth breakfast service
Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked kitchen station throughout the shift
Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, including proper labeling, dating, and temperature logging
Ensure correct storage and rotation of products to maintain freshness and minimize waste
Monitor inventory levels overnight and communicate needs to leadership for replenishment
Work independently while maintaining clear and professional communication with all overnight hotel departments
Adhere to EHC standards, Five Diamond, and Forbes Five‑Star service expectations in all aspects of food preparation
Maintain a calm, professional approach during late‑night and early‑morning service periods

Qualifications
Creative and passionate about food, with a strong commitment to exceptional guest service
Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
Strong knife skills, with the ability to execute a variety of cuts consistently and precisely
Ability to read and prioritize tasks from a prep list, determining the most efficient order of completion
Strong multitasking, time management, and organizational skills to ensure duties are completed efficiently
An attentive listener with the ability to follow directions precisely to achieve desired results
Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during overnight hours
Strong time management and organizational skills
Ability to read, understand, and follow recipes and prep lists accurately
Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and hygiene practices
Food Safe Certification required
Professional communication skills and a reliable, responsible work ethic
Neat and professional appearance in accordance with hotel grooming standards
Previous experience in a luxury hotel, In‑Room Dining, or overnight kitchen environment is an asset
Previous experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining environment is an asset
