We’re looking for a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead our kitchen and help shape the next chapter of Glasshouse. This is an opportunity for a chef who values creativity, leadership, systems, and culture just as much as the food on the plate. What You’ll Do Lead and inspire the kitchen team through service, prep, and daily operations Create seasonal, ingredient-driven menus with a focus on local and sustainable sourcing Maintain high standards for food quality, consistency, cleanliness, and organization Manage inventory, ordering, food costing, and labour targets Hire, train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff Work closely with ownership on menu development, events, and overall restaurant growth Build a positive kitchen culture focused on teamwork, professionalism, and accountability Ensure all health and safety standards are consistently met What We’re Looking For Previous experience as a Head Chef or strong Sous Chef ready to step into a leadership role Strong leadership and communication skills Experience with food costing, inventory management, and kitchen systems Passion for seasonal cooking and high-quality ingredients Calm and organized under pressure A team-first mentality with a desire to build culture and mentor staff Creativity balanced with consistency and execution What We Offer Market-competitive salary based on experience Creative input and opportunity to shape the menu and kitchen direction Room to grow within a growing restaurant brand Supportive ownership team that values collaboration Staff meals and dining discounts A chance to build something meaningful within Vancouver’s restaurant community If you’re passionate about hospitality, leadership, and creating food that people genuinely connect with, we’d love to hear from you.
