Description
The Opportunity The Research Associate contributes to the execution of various research projects utilizing an array of online tools and our internal database. As a Research Associate, you will have the chance to collaborate with senior leadership on highly impactful projects and interact with senior executives across multiple sectors. You will participate in the entire life cycle of the executive search process, including market research and analysis, candidate identification, interviews, report generation and client meetings. As a boutique firm, this position will also contribute to marketing initiatives and general administration as assigned. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend industry‑related conferences, networking events, and professional development courses.

Key Responsibilities

Leading the candidate sourcing and talent market mapping projects as they relate to search assignments undertaken by the Company.

Initiating correspondence on behalf of the Company with prospective and active candidates as required and, when directed, completing pre‑qualifying interviews with prospective candidates and conducting reference checks.

Managing the candidate background check process and initiating and tracking all activity related to external psychometric testing undertaken by the Company.

Conducting research related to the Company’s business/market development activities as well as market research.

Managing the Company’s database and social media accounts.

Participating in candidate interviews by supporting senior consultants during initial and follow‑up conversations, helping to ask questions, taking notes, and evaluating fit against the role profile.

Assisting in interview coordination and candidate evaluation by preparing briefing notes, taking part in candidate interviews, and contributing to assessment summaries.

Supporting the interview process including revising interview guides to be position specific and participating in interviews as required.

Managing administrative duties including but not limited to generating reports, creating collateral marketing material, tracking and organizing Company expenses, and similar duties assigned.

Attending client meetings as required.

Participating in professional development initiatives as assigned by the Company.

Formatting and editing reports and presentations from draft stage to client‑ready work. Using independent judgment to compose general, non‑technical business documents. Is privy to, and must protect, confidential materials.

Editing project deliverables, including technical reports and presentations.

Establishing a systematic method to track time commitments and the completion of tasks based on clients’ preferences. Independently manages multiple projects, schedules appointments, and anticipates needs.

Qualifications

Three to five years experience providing administrative and project coordination support in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial, project‑based environment.

Post‑secondary degree in business administration, human resources, or a related discipline.

Previous Microsoft Office experience with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint applications.

Highly ethical and values the honest and confidential exchange of information with our clients and candidates.

Ability to work in a team environment, remotely and with minimal supervision.

Must be highly motivated with proven organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills.

Ability to establish and manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Highly organized and strong time‑management skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to operate in an unstructured entrepreneurial environment.
