Duties & Responsibilities - Serve as the primary person responsible for all activities occurring on the job site, including scheduling trades, supervising staff, and receiving materials. - Ensure daily work is completed in accordance with the project budget and schedule - Ensure project meets all design requirements and exceeds high standards of craftsmanship. - Coach, mentor, and supervise TPI staff, including providing training, assigning tasks, and approving work hours. - Ensure all tools, materials, utilities, staffing, and preparatory tasks are organized and confirmed prior to each workday on site, including ordering materials and arranging tool bookings. - Coordinate with trades to ensure they have the necessary site access, materials, utilities, and support required to complete tasks on schedule and in accordance with TPI quality standards. - Ensure compliance with all applicable building, safety, and environmental codes and regulations. - Promote and maintain a healthy, respectful, and professional work environment through conflict resolution, positive team leadership, and strong communication. - Document and communicate client requests and concerns clearly and promptly to the Project Manager. Qualifications - Minimum of 2 years of site supervision experience in the construction industry (Required). - Minimum of 2 years of site experience in custom residential or commercial tenant improvement projects involving a high level of design detail (Preferred). - Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials (Required). - Ability to accurately estimate material quantities and labour costs (Required). - Solid understanding of building codes and safety standards (Required). - Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary. - Ability to perform a wide range of construction tasks, including carrying heavy materials and working on ladders or scaffolding in various weather conditions (Required). - Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (Required).
