Product Designer (Vancouver)

Company Description The Swiss Academy for Leadership and Sustainability (SALS) is a knowledge hub dedicated to enlightened leadership and human-centered global governance. SALS provides capacity building, coaching, advisory services, and high-impact public events and conferences for diverse international audiences. Role Description The Product Designer will work on-site full time in Vancouver, BC, focusing on designing user-centered digital and physical products that support SALS programs and initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting user and stakeholder research, translating insights into journey maps, flows, and prototypes, and iterating designs based on feedback and data. The role involves collaborating closely with program leads, facilitators, and technical partners to define requirements and ensure that products align with SALS’s mission and brand. The Product Designer will create visual design assets, design systems, and interaction patterns, and support the implementation of these designs with internal teams and external vendors. The role also includes contributing to design workshops, usability testing, and continuous improvement of the overall learner and participant experience. Qualifications - Strong product-focused mindset with proven experience in Product Design and Design Thinking applied to end-to-end solutions. - Ability to plan and conduct User Research and UX Research, synthesize insights, and translate findings into actionable design decisions. - Proficiency in Visual Design, including layout, typography, color, and design systems for digital experiences. - Experience creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and detailed specifications using modern design and collaboration tools. - Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, HCI, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work closely with multidisciplinary and multicultural teams on-site. - Comfort working in mission-driven environments, ideally with exposure to leadership, education, sustainability, or social impact contexts. - Fluency in English (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset.
