Canada West Veterinary Specialists is seeking a third Board-certified or Residency Trained Internist Operational since 1997, we are an 18,000 sq. ft., private multi-specialty referral veterinary practice and 24-hour emergency facility in Canada. Our practice has boarded-specialists in Internal Medicine, Oncology, Neurology, Diagnostic Imaging, Surgery and Critical Care with added services of rehabilitation therapy and in-house reference lab. Our Internal medicine department is very busy and has a well-established caseload and is supported by an excellent team of technicians and assistants along with a department specific client communications liaison. Our hospital has advanced imaging equipment including CT and MRI and flexible & rigid scopes. We are well versed in the immigration process as many of doctors and support staff have relocated to Vancouver from around the world to join our team. We will provide you direct assistance in the relocation and immigration process along with a generous moving allowance. Required Skills - Excellent verbal and written English language skills, especially to a diverse range of audiences and settings. - Must possess excellent communication skills with clients, staff and referring veterinarians and be motivated to grow our Internal Medicine department. - The ability to make decisions, delegate responsibility and achieve results with hospital team members. - Skilled comportment and appearance, with excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly, positive attitude. - Will provide evening and weekend on-call services. - Work collaboratively with other departments on patient centered care. - Must be self-motivated and have a desire to teach and train doctors and support staff. - Must thrive in a fast pace environment.
