An excellent opportunity for an established construction project manager to join thriving general contractors based in Vancouver to work on a challenging and exciting new build institutional project. My client is an established general contractor who has been in operation for over 50 years. They have a diverse portfolio of projects that include institutional, commercial and mixed‑use. They have also been involved with heritage projects and LEED gold and net zero ready developments.You will come in as an experienced Project Manager having worked on large new build institutional or commercial projects in North America ($30M+) and take on this exciting educational project from start to finish. Responsibilities

Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of a recent‑build project from pre‑construction through to completion and handover Develop and manage project programmes, ensuring key milestones and deadlines are met Oversee project budgets, cost control, and financial reporting to ensure delivery within agreed parametersCoordinate and manage subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers across all phases of construction Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on site Act as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and local authorities Drive quality assurance processes to ensure all works meet required specifications and standardsManage procurement processes, including tendering, contract negotiation, and supplier selection Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies to minimize delays and cost overruns Lead site meetings, progress reviews, and reporting to senior stakeholders Ensure adherence to building codes, planning permissions, and education‑sector requirementsOversee commissioning, snagging, and handover processes to ensure a smooth project close‑out Foster strong working relationships with school boards, education authorities, and community stakeholders Implement sustainable construction practices and ensure environmental targets are achieved Support and mentor junior team members and site staff where requiredRequirements

5+ years as a Project Manager in North America Would consider 3 years as a Junior PM/PC with 2 years as a PM Must have managed a new build project from start to finish Ideal project value $30M+ Construction related education an asset Clear and confident communicator Experience using construction software (Procore or similar)Compensation

Base salary $130,000 - $160,000 (depending on experience) Vacation 3-4 weeks Medical and dental benefits Bonus structure
