VAST seeks a Clinical Psychologist with expertise in trauma-focused care for refugees in British Columbia. Your role will focus on assessments, therapy, and legal documentation for individuals facing psychological challenges.
As part of VAST, you will provide culturally responsive, trauma-informed clinical services to refugee families. Collaborate with a dedicated team while managing assessments, therapy, and clinical report preparation. This role prioritizes reducing trauma-related symptoms and enhancing psychosocial functioning for survivors of torture and violence.
Key Responsibilities:• Deliver culturally safe trauma-informed assessments and interventions • Conduct evaluations using standardized tools and clinical interviews • Prepare clinical reports for refugee claims and legal matters • Maintain professional relationships and adherence to confidentiality laws• Provide casework and referrals to support clients’ health
Requirements:• Master's degree in Psychology with BC professional accreditation • 5+ years of experience in cross-cultural settings • Extensive clinical work with refugees or forced migrants • Skills in crisis intervention and ethical decision-making • Understanding of refugee protection and migration pathways
