Description
The Top Prospects internship program is designed to give university students in their final year of study or recent university graduates an immersive, eight‑month look at what it is like to work in the professional sports industry while gaining valuable hands‑on experience. Once scouting is complete this off‑season, our rookies will join the team for training camp starting on September 1, 2026, and will conclude their terms on April 30, 2027. Allinternships are onsite at our office, right next to Rogers Arena in downtown Vancouver.All interns will be assigned to a core department but will also have the opportunity to work closely with other departments. Business Intelligence

Works closely with the ticketing, marketing and partnership departments. Responsible for developing reports, analyzing results, providing CRM support and data‑driven recommendations. Example projects include managing and tracking ticket inventory, survey planning and execution, and fan insight reports.Experience with Excel, SQL and Python is required for the BI internship. Communications

Supports all Canucks Sports&Entertainment communications efforts, leading media relations and coordinating interview requests. Ensures consistent messaging across teams and business operations. Sets up media areas on game days, monitors daily media coverage and compiles statistical and historical information. Creates and distributes media credentials and contributes to the production of game day lineups and media guides.Expected to work game nights as needed; must demonstrate strong written communication skills. Community Engagement&Social Impact

Connects and engages with fans through community initiatives such as the Canucks for Kids Fund, Canucks Autism Network and Canucks Family Education Centre. Participates in community events and manages minor hockey programs at Rogers Arena. Supports tickets for kids, fan mail and financial friends programs and works community events, game nights and weekends as needed.Experience with Excel is required; ability to skate is an asset. Content

Works closely with the Marketing department to develop content and execute the strategic vision for the website and social media platforms. Assists with shooting video at events and practices, editing content for social media, recording team media availabilities and acting as a production assistant on shoots.Requires experience with Sony cameras and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere or Final Cut/DaVinci). Must submit a PDF or link to a portfolio of work with the application. Required to work game nights as needed and support the Abbotsford Canucks and Vancouver Warriors. Event Services

Responsible for planning, execution and management of small events at Rogers Arena. Prepares all required event documentation, reviews all event reports and follows up on action items. Opportunities to take on special projects and shadow Event Managers on large‑scale events such as Canucks games and concerts.Required to work event nights and weekends as needed; start in August2026. Fan Services

Assists with a variety of fan initiatives and programs including arena tours, the Canucks Kids Club and event services planning and marketing projects. Fielding fan inquiries over the phone and by email. Required to work event nights and weekends as needed; start in August2026. Finance

Shadows senior Finance team members and interacts with various departments across the organization. Responsible for processing invoices, verifying expense reports, updating balance sheet reconciliation working papers and completing bank reconciliations. Graphic Design

Develops internal and fan‑facing creative designs across print, online, social, out‑of‑home and broadcast media. Collaborates with the Creative and Marketing departments to execute ad designs, version out assets and prepare files. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud is required. Provides support for all Canucks Sports&Entertainment and Aquilini Group companies. Assists in setting up equipment for new employees, monitors computer inventory and provides first‑level support to employees on hardware and software issues. Contributes to special IT projects and required to work event nights as needed. Marketing

Leads the development and execution of marketing collateral for all CSE teams and brands. Supports marketing campaign development and execution for the Vancouver Canucks, Vancouver Warriors and Abbotsford Canucks. Tracks project progress on Wrike, executes event emails and works closely with stakeholders to deliver on project objectives.Partnership Marketing

Works in conjunction with the Partnership Sales team and other departments to bring corporate partners’ visions to life. Ensures all partner activations are executed flawlessly. Assists in bringing activations to life, sets up and tears down activations on event days, builds reports for partners and coordinates department events.Required to work game nights as needed. People&Scheduling

Responsible for all human resources functions including recruitment, onboarding, HR systems administration, payroll and employee engagement activities. Supports large‑scale staff scheduling, availability updates, time‑off requests and maintains staffing levels for events. Assists with distribution and organization of uniforms for part‑time staff.Required to work events as needed; start in August. Premium Hospitality

Provides support for over 80 executive suites, seven clubs and restaurants and servicing the premium hospitality operation. Handles staffing, reservations, sales reporting, inventory, revenue management and event readiness duties at premium locations. Requires work on event nights and weekends as needed.Premium Sales&Experience

Learns sales prospecting and assists with sales forecasting reports, game day reporting and preparation. Works to improve the premium membership experience through event planning, fulfillment of member benefits and departmental project management. Required to work event nights and weekends as needed.Quick Service Hospitality

Responsible for all food and beverage operations on the concourses of Rogers Arena (food stands, bars, kiosks, hawking). Assists with event operations, human resources needs, hiring, onboarding and training for part‑time quick service staff. Updates menu boards, IT programming and sales reporting for the team.Required to work events and weekends as needed. Social Media

Works with the Content department to develop content and execute the strategic vision for all social media platforms for all CSE brands and properties. Creates content for social media platforms, engages with fans, implements trends, creates analytics reports and attends team events for coverage.Requires experience using Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, TikTok and Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Photoshop and Premiere). Required to work game nights and weekends as needed. The Sportsbar

Gains hands‑on experience in restaurant operations and management within the Premium Hospitality department. Supports hiring and training, event planning, food and beverage operations, event setup and revenue‑building strategies. Assists with content creation and social media strategy for The Sportsbar.Requires experience using TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and Capcut; must be available to work all arena events and starts in August. Ticket Centre

Assists in daily operations of the Ticket Centre and supports the Membership Experience team. Works within Ticketmaster systems, supports Ticket Centre staff and maintains high customer service standards. Responds to fan inquiries over phone, email and walk‑ups. Required to work event nights and weekends as needed.Required Experience and Qualifications

Current university student in final year of study or recent graduate in a related field. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professionalism in presentation, conduct and reliability. Robust work ethic and willingness to go the extra mile. Eager to learn and take on new tasks and responsibilities.Strong understanding of company values of discipline, respect, excellence, attitude and mindset (DREAM). Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required. All internships are in‑person at Rogers Arena offices.
