Senior Structural Engineer (Vancouver)

Sedgman Canada Ltd is currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join our team in Vancouver, B.C. We are a consulting engineering company in the mining space, rapidly expanding our North American offices. This role is business critical within the organization. Responsibilities

Lead project development of structural and concrete designs ensuring compliance with relevant codes and industry standards. Lead concept studies, including estimating quantities and preliminary designs. Perform detailed concrete and steel design, collaborating with drafters to produce models and documentation in line with QA compliance.Assist with construction enquiries, including safe lifting and erection. Interface with other engineering disciplines (electrical, process, mechanical) to deliver integrated solutions. Focus on technical innovation and continuous improvement. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering. P.Eng. registration with EGBC or eligible to obtain. 15+ years of structural engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a project lead or senior role. Robust understanding of steel and concrete design for heavy industrial structures. Demonstrated sound knowledge and experience in design, consultancy, and operational environments.Previous mining or metals industry experience is highly desired. Ability to safely and effectively self‑manage time, priorities, and activities. Well‑developed communication and negotiation skills. Experience with Canadian Building Code across the provinces is desirable. Must be eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship.Benefits and Compensation
