Production Chef - Pet Food Company (Vancouver)

There is a strong administrative component—forms, certifications, and compliance are key parts of the job alongside recipe testing and small-batch production. What You’ll Do: - Support small-batch production and assist in testing current recipes - Work across all areas of food preparation and packaging with attention to quality and consistency - Help handle important administrative tasks including certifications, kitchen compliance, and inventory tracking - Collaborate with our kitchen team and veterinary team and marketing team to refine formulations for optimal pet health - Ideation, innovation and R&D; - Maintain a clean, organized kitchen that meets the highest safety and sanitation standards - Participate in product innovation—researching ingredients and helping create meals pets love - Embrace feedback and iteration as part of a thoughtful, evolving process - Help source ingredients, and manage inventory - Help with production scheduling What We’re Looking For: - 3–5 years of experience in a commercial kitchen, catering, or food production - Creativity and curiosity when it comes to recipe development and ingredient sourcing - Strong organizational and administrative skills - A clear communicator who thrives in a team environment - A proactive mindset and the ability to adapt as we grow - Experience and interest in both culinary and pastry - FoodSafe certification - A passion for animal wellbeing and a desire to create food with purpose What You’ll Get: - Competitive salary - Health benefits - Paid time off - Employee discounts on all NHV products - Opportunities for growth in a mission-first company redefining pet wellness - Work-Life Balance: Enjoy a steady schedule with no weekends, and a flexible part-time schedule with opportunity to grow into more hours.
