We are currently hiring Field Service Technicians (Mechanics) to join our growing team! Crown Lift Trucks is the premier material handling dealer in Canada. Crown Lift Trucks Canada operates eight full-service branches in both Ontario and Quebec offering complete service solutions including maintenance programs, parts supply, and training. Ideally, you are a forklift technician, an electromechanical technician, an automotive technician, or a technician in heavy equipment, trucks, and coaches. Alternatively, you hold a diploma (DEP) in electromechanics, automotive mechanics, construction equipment mechanics, or heavy road vehicle mechanics. Candidates with similar mechanical experience are also considered for this position. You are proactive, a team player, results-oriented, and possess strong communication and customer service skills. The position is based on the South Shore of Montreal, with travel to the surrounding cities of Boucherville, Longueuil, Varennes, and Beloeil, St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Chambly, St-Bruno et Ste-Julie. Estimate or quote repair costs. Place parts orders and complete necessary paperwork - Perform safety and operational tests - Perform pre-delivery inspections, lay down trucks, and install trucks as needed - Communicate customer satisfaction information and leads to the appropriate personnel - Complete all training as required - Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements - Able to safely operate lift trucks and vehicles/service vans - Able to sit, stand, walk, bend/stoop/twist, squat, reach below knee level, grip/grasp, work with arm outstretched, and work above chest level - Able to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 lbs. - Able to occasionally lift/carry/push/pull up to 100 lbs., reach above shoulder level, climb stairs, climb ladders, torque, use vibratory tools, and pinch grip Education and Qualifications - High school diploma - Valid driver’s license - Industry related training and/or one to two years of prior experience (preferred) - Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical schematics - Familiar with tools and equipment such as common hand tools, electrical/air tools, torch, arc welder, and various types of testing equipment - Able to read and understand service manuals and microfiche, plan and follow-through - Good organizational, customer service, communication and interpersonal skills required Please note that we require all new hires to complete a criminal reference check to be eligible for employment.
