Role OverviewA Security Consultant in Akamai's Government Services team serves as the main contact for security services, ensuring seamless integration and support for U.S. and Canadian government customers.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to understand customer use cases and adjust solutions to meet client needsPartner with internal sales teams to fully understand customer business needs and ensure their successParticipate in internal projects to contribute to best practices, improving methodology and solution delivery qualityParticipate in training and projects contributing to best practices, maximizing efficiency and improving methodology and service qualityQualificationsAt least 2 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldExperience with internet protocols such as TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, and TLS/SSL and understanding how CDNs workRelevant customer-facing experience within a consultative environmentInterest or achievement in obtaining cyber security credentials such as Security+, SSCP, GSEC or similarKnowledge of project management concepts and techniquesUnderstanding of implementation concepts involving web development, IT systems, or security practiceCompensation and BenefitsBase salary ranges from CAD 70,600 to 127,000 per year, determined by experience, skills, and certifications. The compensation package may include incentive compensation, equity awards, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
