Engage in hands-on ecological research while managing a dedicated crew. This permanent, full time position involves leading the execution of ecological inventories and water resource monitoring. You’ll coordinate equipment management, supervise fieldwork safety, and ensure accuracy in data collection. Your leadership will facilitate effective team operations while adhering to environmental protocols. Key Responsibilities: • Execute aquatic habitat and ecosystem inventories with guidelines • Manage fieldwork logistics and crew safety protocols • Ensure equipment readiness and performance for monitoring tasks • Enter and manage data in internal databases • Lead effective communication in safety briefings Requirements: • Post-secondary qualification in Environmental Science or related • Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field experience • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal communication skills • Proficiency with MS Office and fundamental GIS tools • Solid understanding of safety regulations and protocols Bring expert leadership to TRCA’s team, driving ecological monitoring initiatives and ensuring safety standards in environmental management.
