Host/Hostess (Woodbridge)

Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements while providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities - Welcome and greet guests in a warm, professional manner while escorting them to their tables. - Manage reservations efficiently and maintain an organized waitlist during high-volume service periods. - Communicate effectively with guests to understand and accommodate their needs and preferences. - Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assist with reservations, and provide accurate information about the restaurant and its offerings. - Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional guest experience. - Monitor and manage guest flow within the dining room to maximize seating efficiency and service quality. - Provide guests with knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, daily features, and promotions. - Address guest questions, concerns, or requests promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction. - Support fellow team members during peak service hours and assist wherever needed. - Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host stand and entrance area, including walkways, doors, windows, and menus. - Routinely walk through the dining area to assist with table upkeep, cleanliness, and communication of seating or table status updates. Qualifications - A minimum of 2 year of experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality roles is required. - Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. - Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be trained on the job. - Ability to multitask in a quick-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
