Project Manager – 3D Services (AEC) (Vaughan)

Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Quote, plan, and manage all AEC (architectural, civil engineering and construction) projects with support from 3D Applications Specialists/Engineers. a. Establish scope, process, required resources, deliverables, budget, and timing. 2. Develop and manage all AEC 3D Applications Specialists/Engineers in day-to-day operations to ensure consistency with quotes. a. Track project progress and influence scheduling based on requirements. 3. Support and/or execute complex 3D LiDAR scanning, 3D modeling projects for advanced manufacturing needs across a wide range of industries including architectural, heritage building preservation, construction, civil engineering, mining, manufacturing plan, warehousing and other large scale 3D digitizing needs. 4. Oversee customer support for all AEC professional services. Develop robust customer relationships through on-going support, and regular interaction and feedback to improve satisfaction. Ensure operational consistency with company business strategies and goals. 5. Recruit, train, and supervise Engineering Interns/Co-op Students in partnership with select Ontario Colleges and Universities. 6. Manage AEC 3D LiDAR scanning and related equipment. 7. Provide recommendations to President related to business strategies, resources, and equipment. 8. Adhere to specified standards for quality control of 3D LiDAR scanning equipment and contract services (e.g. ISO 9001). 9. Work with minimal direction and supervision. 10. Review and provide recommendations for related marketing content. Core Qualifications - Bachelor of Engineering (civil preferred) or Engineering Technology, Bachelor of Architecture; or degree in directly related field(s) of study; or equivalent educational and professional experience. - Technical management experience and demonstrated leadership success. - 5-10 years 3D CAD experience with one or more 3D CAD modeling packages such as Revit, Civil 3D, Design X, etc. - Thorough knowledge of and experience with all advanced, engineering/survey grade 3D LiDAR scanning equipment and 3D software (3D modeling and 3D inspection) the company deploys. - Fluency in English with strong verbal and written technical communication skills. - Ability to interact with Engineers, Architect, Construction Managers and 3D technology experts, as well as read and interpret engineering, construction and architectural drawings and technical materials. - Valid Ontario G class driving license. - Residence in the Greater Toronto Area (role is based in Vaughan/Woodbridge). - Current passport and willingness to travel as it may be required. - Enthusiastic, energetic, and scientific challenge driven. - Safety-oriented nature and ability adapt to different work environments. - Detail-oriented and well organized. - Ability to thrive in a team and independently and prioritize assignments. - Ability to interact effectively in a professional engineering work environment.
