Truck driver, North Peel Regional Municipality (Kleinburg)

Overview We are looking for a truck driver to load and unload goods, operate trucks, and maintain vehicle conditions. This is an on‑site position with no remote work option. The role contributes to green job initiatives by fostering efficient and environmentally responsible transport.

Requirements

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Driver's licence: Class 1 or Class A.

Air Brake (Z) endorsement.

Will train for truck operation.

Work Setting Various locations. Work must be completed at the physical location; no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities

Load and unload goods.

Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

Inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.

Perform emergency roadside repairs and preventive maintenance.

Receive and relay information to central dispatch.

Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.

Tarp cargo and ensure safety and security.
