About The Role Reports to the R&D Director on all matters, regarding the assigned and drafting issue. The R&D Designer shall ensure to meet submittal dates in a timely manner.
Duties are responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Research, design and develop new products and/or systems by using 2D&3D Software (AutoCAD, Inventor, 3Ds Max);
Utilizing 3D printers to print various components using 3D printers;
Procurement, follow up, quality check and store all samples required prior to actual production;
Engaged in all steps from concept design to installation of product;
Frequent visits to back shop to review production and implementation of new parts;
Document and publish all new products or any recent changes to all related departments;
Prepare drawings packages for assembly and installation of mock-ups in our facility or on site;
Conduct meetings to discuss/educate individuals on new systems and/or changes;
Create machine drawings for new systems/changes;
Organize and keep up to date all existing and new drawings/documents into Company server for ease of access, as well as physical folders in storage;
Prepare complete packages to use for shop drawings, fabrication drawings, procurements, assembly, quality check and installation of our Window/Railing systems for projects;
Assist all staff with any queries related to Window/Railing systems;
Any other tasks assigned by the R&D Director.
Requirements&Qualifications Education
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology, Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management.
Years of Experience
Minimum 3+ years of Drafting or R&D Designing, experience in Window/Railing/Commercial Systems; and
Manufacturing experience is an asset.
Work Location
Work environment requires wearing PPE for all site work and in certain other location;
Light traveling to visit trade shows or conventions as required; and
Flexible to work overtime as required.
