Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing patient care, and ensuring the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals within a clinical setting. This role requires a strong foundation in medical/pharmacy terminology, medication management, and patient-centered care, with experience in independent community pharmacy preferred. The Staff Pharmacist will collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and support positive health outcomes. Responsibilities - Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and legal requirements - Provide expert consultation to healthcare providers regarding medication selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects - Monitor patient responses to medication therapy and make recommendations for adjustments as needed - Educate patients on proper medication usage, potential side effects, and storage instructions - Maintain comprehensive documentation of medication dispensing and patient interactions - Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols - Collaborate with medical staff to develop and review medication plans for diverse patient populations - Oversee inventory management, including ordering, storage, and expiration tracking of pharmaceuticals Requirements - Valid pharmacist license with the Ontario College of Pharmacists (Part A) - Prior experience in community pharmacy settings preferred - Experience Kroll paperless or Kroll strongly preferred - Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams and educate patients - Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail - Commitment to patient safety, confidentiality, and adherence to regulatory standards Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week Benefits: - Adaptable schedule - On-site parking - Store discount Ability to commute/relocate: - Woodbridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred) Application question(s): - Can work with Kroll/Kroll paperless Experience: - Community Pharmacy : 1 year (preferred) Licence/Certification: - Pharmacist License with OCP (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2oles5
