Job Overview We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring an exceptional dining experience. Your responsibilities will include managing reservations, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements while providing outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Welcome and greet guests in a warm, skilled manner while escorting them to their tables. Manage reservations efficiently and maintain an organized waitlist during high-volume service periods. Communicate effectively with guests to understand and accommodate their needs and preferences. Answer phone calls with excellent phone etiquette, assist with reservations, and provide accurate information about the restaurant and its offerings. Work closely with the restaurant team to ensure seamless operations and an exceptional guest experience. Monitor and manage guest flow within the dining room to maximize seating efficiency and service quality. Provide guests with knowledgeable recommendations regarding menu items, daily features, and promotions. Address guest questions, concerns, or requests promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction. Support fellow team members during peak service hours and assist wherever needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and presentable host stand and entrance area, including walkways, doors, windows, and menus. Routinely walk through the dining area to assist with table upkeep, cleanliness, and communication of seating or table status updates. Qualifications A minimum of 2 year of experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality roles is required. Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members. Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be trained on the job.
