Position Overview Crystal Fountains is seeking an experienced TIG Welder/Fitter with a strong background in stainless steel structural welding and custom fabrication. This role is ideal for someone who excels in precision welding, can read and interpret technical drawings, and enjoys working on unique, project-based builds. Duties - Interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide fabrication and fitting processes. - Perform welding operations using GTAW (Tungsten Inert Gas) to join SS 316 components precisely, thickness varies from 7GA to 22GA - Inspect finished welds to ensure structural integrity and adherence to project specifications. - Collaborate with the production and engineering teams on custom builds and prototypes. - Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area in accordance with company safety policies. - Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, drill press, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble sheet metal, and structural elements. - Use calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure components meet exact specifications. - Read and interpret schematics for mechanical systems, pipe threading, rigging setups, and assembly instructions. - Conduct fabrication tasks involving plasma cutting, bending with press brakes, machining, soldering, and assembly of metal parts in accordance with ASME codes & standards. - Maintain a clean and organized work setting by properly handling tools and disposing of waste materials responsibly. - Collaborate with team members on manufacturing floors to complete projects efficiently while maintaining high safety standards. - Perform basic math calculations related to measurements, material quantities, and project specifications as needed. Qualifications - Proven experience working in manufacturing environments involving SS Sheet Metal fabrication. - Proficiency in GTAW Welding and Plasma cutting of SS material. - Required Test: FLAT and T-Joints 16GA SS & Custom 20 GA SS Weldment with both Fuse and Filler process. - Strong ability to read blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and mechanical diagrams accurately. - Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, press brake machines, pipe threading equipment, and rigging gear. - Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and fabrication practices. - Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of sheet metal work, fabrication, machining processes, and assembly procedures. - Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required. - Basic math skills for measurements and calculations essential for precise fabrication work. - Excellent attention to detail combined with solid problem-solving skills in rapid-paced environments. - Commitment to safety protocols and quality standards throughout all project phases.
