CONTRACT: 6 months, with robust potential for permanent START DATE: ASAP SETUP: Hybrid, 3 days/weeks in office Key Responsibilities - Manage daily financial operations, including ledger maintenance, payroll coordination, payables, receivables, account reconciliations, and reporting obligations. - Prepare and review periodic financial reports, ensuring accurate analysis of business performance and operational results. - Coordinate financial close activities and support audit preparation through detailed schedules and supporting documentation. - Ensure adherence to applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and reporting obligations across multiple jurisdictions. - Maintain and strengthen internal financial controls, policies, and operational procedures. - Monitor and manage financial areas such as inventory, fixed assets, vendor accounts, customer balances, and cash management activities. - Support ongoing improvements to financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting processes. - Identify efficiencies and contribute to process enhancement initiatives across the finance function. - Assist with forecasting, budgeting, liquidity planning, and financial modeling activities. - Provide leadership teams with financial insights to support operational and strategic decisions. - Supervise and support finance personnel through coaching, training, performance management, and team development initiatives. - Coordinate departmental priorities, staffing support, and workflow planning to ensure timelines are achieved. - Work collaboratively with internal departments and external stakeholders on finance-related initiatives and reporting requirements. - Contribute to special projects and additional responsibilities as required. Qualifications - Accounting designation. - Experience at the Senior Controller or Director level. - Previous exposure to manufacturing, distribution, or operationally focused environments. - Prior experience with large ERPs (i.e. SAP, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, Oracle) - Ability to analyze financial data and provide meaningful operational recommendations. - Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
