Nurse, Medical Injection Program – North York, ON SEMI, now proudly part of CBI Health, is one of Toronto’s premier sports medicine and physiotherapy clinics. Our team consists of licensed medical and health professionals with a variety of specializations. Working alongside sports medicine Physicians, we provide physiotherapy and physical rehabilitation services as well as chiropody, massage therapy, acupuncture and sports medicine. We conveniently offer all treatments and therapies our patients need to recover from any injury, under one roof. Our clinic is conveniently located at Yonge & Sheppard with direct access to the TTC and Highway 401. About This Opportunity The Nurse, Medical Injection Program plays a key role in supporting client’s management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. This role is integral to assisting our Sports Medicine physicians with our Regenerative Medical Injection Program, which consists of room set up, venipuncture, inventory management, and client education and monitoring. This role requires a high level of technical skill, attention to detail, and compassionate client care. The Nurse, Medical Injection Program is responsible for accurate and timely collection of blood for therapeutic purposes, maintaining strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols, and ensuring accurate documentation and specimen handling. In addition to clinical duties, the role involves close collaboration with physicians to facilitate coordinated care and contribute to a positive client experience. Anticipated schedule: Thursdays, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM; occasional Mondays, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM Wage range: $28.00–$32.00 per hour Take an inside look at what you’ll do each day - Perform venipuncture with care and accuracy - Ensure proper client identification and documentation - Prepare specimens for medical procedures under the supervision of a Sports Medicine physician - Support physicians with consultations by gathering information of client’s health through note taking - Monitor clients for adverse reactions during and after the injection procedures - Communicate clearly with clients about treatment, procedures and answer any questions under the supervision of the medical physician. - Assist in coordinating the regenerative medical injection program to ensure for its success. - Room set up, client prep, procedure assistance, scheduling client appointments, reminder calls, appointment protocol compliance - Triage clients appropriate for the medical injections - Track and restock medical injection program supplies. - Support diagnostic needs as part of a multidisciplinary care team - Promote a culture of safety within the rehabilitation team and care environment What You Need To Be Successful - Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) - Current Standard CPR and First Aid Certificate - Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting; experience in rehabilitation or long-term care is an asset - Strong interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team - Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems - Keen observational skills and attention to detail - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Empathy and a patient-centered approach to care What CBI Health Offers You - Continuous learning and skills development, including management opportunities - Training and mentoring from a national network of experts - Competitive compensation with comprehensive benefits and rewards package, including group health, dental and vision perks, paid 100% by the employer - Continuing training budget - Excellent administrative support, so you can focus on your patients Inclusion Matters We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and lived experiences and provide accommodations throughout the hiring process.
