Senior Hardware Design Engineer (Vaughan)

ITS Electronics would be interested in receiving resumes for the position of Senior HW Design Engineer ITS Electronics designs and manufactures a range of high performance satellite communications products including customer specified frequency converters, power amplifiers and oscillators for commercial, military and aeronautical applications. In order to address the growing demand for its products, ITS is seeking candidates for the position of Senior HW Design Engineer. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, candidates should possess a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience in the following areas: - Analog / digital circuit design, simulation and validation - Schematic capture and PCB layout for microwave, analog and digital designs. - Microcontrollers, programmable logic devices, etc. - Auto-ranging power supplies, AC/DC converters, etc. - Electronic Design Automation software tools (e.g. ADS, Altium Designer, etc.) - Cleanroom processes, bench testing and test equipment such as logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers and signal / noise generators, etc. - ARINC standards and RTCA/DO-160 (environmental conditions and test procedures for airborne equipment) - CE marking / certification - EMI / EMC testing Candidates should possess the ability to: - Manage small projects on spec, on budget and on time. - Analyze customer requirements and draft technical specifications. - Interface with Customers and Suppliers and with Engineering and Operations. Candidates should have the following qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). - 5 to 10 years microwave, analog and digital development and implementation experience. - Effective written and verbal communications in English. - Canadian security clearance would be an asset.
