Assistant Store Manager, Pane Fresco - Full Time Day (Vaughan)

What You’ll Do: - Oversee a team comprised of Pane Fresco department employees and managers with a focus on providing exceptional customer experience while offering great quality food products with friendly and efficient service. · Work with your team to identify and execute operational goals by coaching and upholding store standards. · Review opportunities, develop and implement business plans to reach sales and financial targets (gross profit, wage cost, operational expenses, inventory, shrink). - Ensure the execution and maintenance of store programs, merchandising and initiatives throughout the sales floor and backroom areas. - Approve department administrative activities including financial reporting, scheduling and budgeting. · Ensure optimal inventory levels and product assortment with emphasis on seasonal events and bookings. · To be responsible for the opening and closing functions of the store and overseeing the store in the absence of the Franchisee. - Lead your team and provide explicit expectations, feedback and development plans. · Coach your team on supporting and managing employees (including progressive discipline). · Ensure compliance with laws, company policy, the collective agreement, health and safety and food safety regulations. - Other duties as assigned What You’ll Need to Succeed: - A solid focus on providing exceptional customer service. - 4 to 5 years experience in the grocery retail or food services industry. - Previous managerial experience would be a plus. - Demonstrated creativity in display merchandising - Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities. - Excellent organization, planning and communication skills. - Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays - Must be available to close the store a minimum of 2 evenings a week - Food Handlers certificate would be a plus.
