Hotel General Manager In-Training (Salmon Arm)

Job Summary: The Hotel General Manager in Training (GMIT) is a developmental role designed to prepare the successful candidate for a future General Manager position. This role provides hands-on experience across all hotel departments, including front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales, and finance. The GMIT will work closely with senior leadership to learn how to oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and drive financial performance. Key Responsibilities: - Be available to work a versatile schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. - Focus on achievement of hotel financial goals / budget targets. - Ensure that all franchise operating standards are followed. - Be accessible to guests and employees. - Maintain complete knowledge of hotel features, room types, rates, room availability, and expected arrivals/departures. - Handle guest complaints ensuring guest satisfaction. - Assist staff with their job functions to ensure optimum service to guests. - Leads all aspects of employee performance to ensure productivity and a quality work environment. - Establishes, maintains, and trains standards and procedures for cleaning and safe working conditions in all departments. - Works to ensure high scores for customer service, cleanliness and other related items on all franchise inspections. - Other duties as assigned Job Type: Full-time Pay: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year Ability to commute/relocate: - Salmon Arm, BC V1E 2S5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Work Location: In person Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2nakz0
