As a Surveillance Security Guard at our construction site, you will play a vital and proactive role in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Acting as the eyes and ears of the operation, you will continuously monitor site activity, identify potential risks, and respond swiftly to prevent incidents before they escalate. Your vigilance will help protect valuable equipment, materials, and personnel while ensuring that site policies and safety standards are upheld at all times. What's in it for you? - Hourly wage of $21 - We will invest in you, covering the costs of continuing education through GardaWorld Academy - Part-time opportunities with shifts from Saturday to Sunday ( weekend ). Two shift options: 17:00 to 00:00 or 00:00 to 07:00 (7-hour shifts) - Career growth opportunities at GardaWorld - Uniform provided at no cost Responsibilities for Surveillance Security Guard - Monitor security systems to detect any suspicious activity - Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats - Document observed events and incidents, writing detailed reports - Conduct regular foot patrols to ensure the safety of the premises - Control access to secure areas and check visitor identification - Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions - Work with law enforcement in case of serious situations or emergencies Qualifications for Surveillance Security Guard - Be authorized to work in Canada - Hold a valid BC security license - First aid certification - an asset - Good eyesight and excellent ability to maintain focus - Solid proficiency with technology - Ability to stand and walk throughout shift This could be more than a job!
