Finance Accounting Leader (Vernon)

Finance and Accounting Leader Our client is an established manufacturing company in Lumby, BC (Vernon, BC area). They are looking for an accounting and finance leader to join their team as a hands on people leader in the operations. Responsibilities: Oversee full-cycle accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, payment authorization, collections, and related reconciliations Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making Maintain document control standards, distributing up to date documentation, as required Manage schedules, deadlines, and workflows, implementing process improvements to optimize efficiency Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory reporting, liaising with auditors and tax advisors as required Prepare and maintain data entry system for customers and suppliers Maintain reports, financial and historical records in accordance policies and procedures Reconcile daily transactions to ensure accounting system reflects correct transactions Manage payroll processing, while ensuring timely and accurate government remittances Process invoices, maintain schedule, and issue payments Assemble and maintain information for preparation of tax filings Other as required Requirements: CPA Designation with Post Secondary in accounting or finance is preferred 5+ years of combined experience as a Controller level or higher accountant Experience in wholesaling, retail and/or manufacturing, considered a robust asset Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel Knowledge of and experience with accounting systems If this exciting opportunity is of interest to you, please send us your resume today!
