Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher (Revelstoke)

Job Overview We are seeking a reliable and motivated Kitchen Hand / Dishwasher to join our busy restaurant team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will support food preparation and service by ensuring all dishes and kitchen areas are sanitized, stocked, and ready for daily operations. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important. Duties - Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to ensure food safety standards are met - Assist with basic meal preparation and food handling as directed by chefs or kitchen staff - Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen work area, including floors, counters, and storage spaces - Organize and stock supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations - Support food service staff with serving meals when needed - Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations to uphold health standards - Dispose of waste properly and ensure recycling protocols are followed - Assist in setting up dining areas before service and cleaning after closing shifts Skills - Basic cooking skills and understanding of food handling procedures - Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required - Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting - Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately - Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting dishes or supplies - Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude toward teamwork and customer service This role offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the food service industry while contributing to a clean and welcoming dining environment.
