Job Posting: Restaurant Host / Busser (Dual Role) Location: Revelstoke, BC Position Type: Full-time / Part-time, Seasonal or Permanent Position Overview We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and organized Host / Busser to join our team. In this dual role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests and a vital support system for our service team. You will balance welcoming guests and managing the seating chart with ensuring tables are cleared, cleaned, and reset efficiently to maintain a smooth flow in the dining room. Key Responsibilities - Guest Relations: Warmly greet guests upon arrival, manage the waitlist, quote accurate wait times, and escort guests to their tables. - Table Turnaround: Promptly clear dirty dishes, glassware, and silverware from tables once guests depart. Sanitize tables, chairs, and booths, and reset them to restaurant standards. - Dining Room Support: Support servers by refilling water glasses, delivering bread, removing empty plates between courses, and assisting with light cleaning tasks. - Atmosphere Maintenance: Keep the entryway, host stand, and dining areas clean, organized, and presentable throughout the shift. Qualifications & Skills - Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant or customer service role is an asset, but we are willing to train the right personality. - Skills: Strong communication, a welcoming demeanor, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. - Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift heavy trays (up to 30 lbs), and move quickly during peak rushes. - Availability: Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
