Part-Time Lifeguard Instructor at Vernon

Be an integral part of the City of Vernon as a part-time Lifeguard/Instructor. This role combines lifeguarding with instructing swimming classes for all age groups.

As a Lifeguard/Instructor, you will supervise pool activities and conduct swim lessons for children and adults. This position requires a current Lifesaving Society Swimming Instructor Certification and National Lifeguard Certification, along with CPR Level C certification. You'll also ensure safety, manage water quality tests, and maintain pool cleanliness and records throughout your shifts.

Key Responsibilities:• Supervise guests and ensure pool safety • Plan and instruct swim programs for all age levels • Document facility incidents and water quality checks • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks • Assist in providing emergency services as needed

Requirements:• Minimum 16 years old • Current Lifeguarding certifications and CPR Level C • Good interpersonal skills and initiative • Ability to maintain records and operate testing equipment • Acceptable Police Information Check required
