Bakery Supervisor (Vernon)

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Supervisor to join our team at Sparkling Hill Resort. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and customer service, contributing to our guests' journey of rejuvenation. Responsibilities - Prepare doughs and batters for breads, pies, cakes, cookies, muffins, and other baked goods in accordance with established recipes and specifications - Bake products while ensuring consistency, accuracy, and adherence to quality standards - Frost and decorate cakes and other baked items to meet presentation requirements - Verify that all finished products meet company quality and food safety standards - Follow standardized recipes and adjust formulations or techniques as required to maintain product quality - Plan and organize daily production to meet demand and minimize waste - Monitor inventory levels and recommend the ordering of baking ingredients and supplies as needed - Participate in the hiring, training, and supervision of baking staff and kitchen personnel, as required Qualifications - Completion of secondary school required or completion of a college or other program for bakers or several years of commercial baking experience required. - On-the-job training may be provided. - Experience in a luxury hotel with comparable service and standards an asset - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Solid work ethic and positive attitude Qualified applicants can send their resume to Mr. Nico Jensen, Communication & Administrative Assistant to the Managing Director.
