Landscape Construction Manager Location: Greater Victoria Area (Mobile & in Office) Job Type: Full-time Reports to: CEO About Us: At Fallingwater, we provide top-tier maintenance, enhancements, and design + build services to strata, commercial, and residential clients. Our construction division undertakes all landscape enhancements for our existing maintenance client base and we are developing our design and build division, with a strategic plan pointing us towards creating multi-acre, ecologically focused landscapes. Job Summary: The Landscape Construction Manager is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of landscape construction and enhancements projects from inception to completion. This role requires a robust leader with excellent project management skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for educating and developing others. This role is 60% on site and 40% office. Responsibilities - Project Management: Plan, schedule, and oversee all aspects of landscape construction and enhancements projects. Coordinate with clients, design teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion. Familiarize yourself project scope and budgets, track expenses, and ensure projects stay within financial constraints. Supervise and manage the landscape construction and enhancements teams, providing guidance, training, and support. - Team Leadership: Foster a positive and productive work setting, ensuring team members are motivated and engaged. Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, address challenges, and ensure alignment with project goals. - Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and compliance with design specifications and safety regulations. Address any issues or deficiencies promptly to maintain project timelines and quality. - Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the construction process. Communicate project updates, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction. Foster strong relationships with clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. - Safety and Compliance: Enforce all safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety. Investigate and report any accidents or incidents, implementing corrective actions as needed. Qualifications - Post Secondary education in horticulture, construction, design, or related field preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape construction management or a similar role. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. - Strong leadership and team management skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficient in project management software and tools. - Knowledge of sustainable and ecological landscaping practices is a plus. - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
