Kitchen Designer / Millwork Sales Consultant Coastal Accents Millwork | Victoria, BC (Estevan Village) Full-time | Showroom + site visits | Salary + performance (based on experience) Build beautiful kitchens. Coastal Accents Millwork is a Victoria-based cabinetry and millwork company specializing in refined, design-forward kitchens, built-ins, and custom storage solutions. We serve homeowners, interior designers, and select builders who care deeply about quality, clarity, and a well-managed experience. We are hiring a Kitchen Designer to join our designer-led sales team. This role is for someone who knows kitchens and millwork inside and out. Someone who can walk into a conversation, understand what the client is trying to achieve, and turn that into a thoughtful, buildable, profitable solution. This is not retail. This is not “send a quote and hope.” It’s consultative, relationship-driven, and detail heavy in the best way. You should be as comfortable discussing layout, clearances, fillers, hardware, and function as you are leading a client meeting, managing a quote, and closing a project. This role is for you if: - You know kitchens, cabinetry, and millwork at a high level - You can confidently design within real-world construction and installation constraints - You are polished with clients, but grounded enough to ask smart questions before making promises - You are organized, detail-driven, and strong at follow-through - You understand that a great kitchen is not just beautiful, it is functional, buildable, and profitable - You like owning the front end of a project and taking it from inquiry through signed agreement - You want to be part of a refined, high-trust brand and help build something exceptional - Protecting designer and builder relationships (making them feel supported, not competed with) - Learners will excel here In this role, you will: - Respond quickly and professionally to new inquiries from walk-ins, phone calls, web leads, and referrals - Lead client and designer discovery meetings around goals, function, style, budget, timeline, and scope - Develop kitchen and millwork concepts that align with the client’s needs, the home, and the project budget - Prepare layouts, specifications, and proposal packages that are clear enough for pricing, production, and installation teams to rely on - Guide clients through cabinetry selections, finishes, hardware, accessories, and storage solutions - Use 2020 to develop accurate kitchen designs and presentation-ready drawing packages - Review plans, elevations, dimensions, and site conditions with a strong technical lens - Coordinate measurements, revisions, approvals, and sign-offs prior to production - Work closely with internal team members and external partners to ensure what is sold can actually be delivered - Manage quotes, revisions, and change requests with clarity and professionalism - Maintain an organized pipeline and accurate client records in Google Workspace and other internal systems - Close work at target margins while protecting the client experience and brand reputation - Build solid relationships with homeowners, interior designers, and trade partners by being responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with What you must bring: - 3+ years of experience in kitchen design, cabinetry, millwork, or closely related residential construction/design sales - Advanced knowledge of cabinetry, millwork construction, kitchen planning, and detailing - Strong proficiency in 2020 - Strong proficiency in Google Workspace, including Docs, Sheets, Drive, Calendar, and Gmail - Confidence reading plans, elevations, and dimensions, and identifying gaps or risks before they become problems - Strong understanding of kitchen function, spatial planning, clearances, and installation realities - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - A calm, professional approach to handling multiple active opportunities and deadlines - Strong taste, sound judgment, and the ability to balance design vision with practical execution - A valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation for site visits and client meetings Strong assets: - Experience working with high-end homeowners, interior designers, or custom residential projects - Experience preparing scopes, specifications, and quote packages - Familiarity with renovation and construction sequencing - Experience coordinating with production, estimating, installers, or trades - Knowledge of Buildertrend, ERP/CRM systems, or quoting workflows - Confidence presenting design ideas and guiding clients to decisions What success looks like here: - Clients feel guided, not sold to - Designers and builders feel supported, not competed with - Quotes are accurate, clear, and profitable - Handoffs to production are clean - Problems are anticipated early - Follow-through is strong - The experience feels polished from first contact to final approval What we offer - A refined, values-driven company with high standards and low ego - Opportunity to be part of the growth of a steady pipeline and strong reputation - Support from estimating/production/install teams, so you’re not selling in a vacuum - Training and coaching to support your career growth opportunities. - Compensation aligned with performance and professionalism (details shared in interview) How to apply Please send: - Your resume - A short note on why this role interests you - Your portfolio - Optional but appreciated: a sample drawing set, scope, or quote package that shows your technical thinking If you’re a consultative, detail-driven pro who wants to build something great in Victoria, this will feel like home.
