Positions Available: Lead Hand Position Overview: This is a highly skilled, hands-on position. The Lead Hand works on the tools alongside the crew and plays a key role in executing the work on site. Project planning, scheduling, and overall coordination are managed by the Project Manager; the Lead Hand is responsible for helping carry out that plan efficiently and to a high standard. Responsibilities: - Perform a wide range of skilled construction and renovation tasks - Work on the tools daily, setting the standard for productivity and quality - Follow direction from the Project Manager and assist in executing the daily scope of work - Help organize workflow on site and support team members to keep work progressing smoothly - Read and interpret drawings and ensure work aligns with plans and specifications - Communicate clearly with the Project Manager regarding progress, site conditions, and any issues - Maintain a clean, secure, and organized job site - Identify and address deficiencies or concerns early Key Qualifications & Expectations: - Strong hands-on construction experience (renovations, carpentry, framing, finishing) - Able to work independently while supporting and guiding a small team - High standard of workmanship with strong attention to detail - Reliable, organized, and able to keep work progressing efficiently - Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment on site - Professional and respectful communication with team members and clients - Physically capable of performing demanding construction work - Valid driver’s license Other positions available: General Labourer Why Join Us? - Friendly, team-oriented environment - Competitive wages based on experience - Variety of projects and learning opportunities - Fuel reimbursement for travel to job sites or company vehicle provided Stay at Home Renovations is a general contracting company servicing all of Victoria.
