Job Details Description Position Summary The Production Supervisor is expected to lead, motivate, and oversee assigned department (s) in shop and/or field service operations. The Production Supervisor ensures the team meets safety requirements, directing work efforts, job deadline dates and ensuring the team produces a consistent, quality product. The position will provide technical guidance regarding the installation, maintenance, testing, building, and repair of power equipment. Job Responsibilities Responsible for the productivity, training, and communications of assigned department/team. Assists in evaluating performance of team members. Providing informal and formal coaching and mentoring sessions as appropriate. Participate in interviewing and hiring of team members as business needs dictate. Manages jobs and schedules/assigns work for employees. Coordinate/communicate with Manager and other applicable departments. Trains, mentors, communicates with staff on technical, safety, company training and works to maintain procedures and create best practices for the shop floor. Create, maintain, communicate and adhere to documented processes and procedures. Ensure the proper maintenance of equipment, compliance with electrical codes and adherence to safety regulations. Assist with electrical system installation, troubleshooting and repair as needed. Apply industry knowledge to offer technical / practical options to internal customers; Prepare and review quotes; perform job walks as required; review test reports; audit field work for quality. Cultivate and maintain customer relationships with internal customers, external customers, and vendors. Conduct client communication in a highly customer service-oriented manner. Responsible for reviewing jobs to ensure the job meets or exceeds profitability goals. Purchase supplies, ensure adequate inventory, plan budgets, prioritize purchases, prepare cost estimates and document purchases. Observe all safety rules and Best Practices; Follow all company policies and procedures. Demonstrate a continual effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and work cooperatively with other departments to provide quality and seamless operation. Completes other duties as assigned. For example, help with performance reviews, QC tasks, etc Completes assigned training, such as wildsparq, forklift, etc Experience and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in related field and 3 years or a combination of education and experience Knowledge of various industry standards such as: NETA, NEC, CSA no31, Work Safe, CEC. Thorough understanding of heavy industrial, utility, large commercial, renewable energy and ability to troubleshoot complex business issues. Must be able to work safely and adhere to all safety procedures. Proven leadership and mentoring skills. Able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks. Solid oral and written communication skills. Able to work with various people throughout the organization-Customer Focused. For positions that utilize a company vehicle, you will be required to have a valid drivers license.
