Culturally Safe Indigenous Support Worker for Client Wellness, Victoria

Empower Indigenous clients as a dedicated Support Worker. Provide life skills, advocacy, and culturally safe care while addressing substance use and mental health issues within a multidisciplinary team.

This role requires collaboration within a supportive environment to foster independence and well-being. You will offer life skills training, assist with daily activities, and advocate for clients facing substance use challenges. Engage actively with both clients and their families, monitoring progress and reporting on treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:• Provide life skills training and coaching • Advocate for clients experiencing substance use • Assist with daily living activities • Report client progress and medication reactions • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members

Requirements:• Diploma in Community Social Services required • Minimum two years of experience with Indigenous communities • Knowledge of mental health legislation and harm reduction • Valid Class 5 vehicle license needed • Current Level C Basic Life Saving Certificate
