Line Cook/Prep Cook (Uptown Core)

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced workplace. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly while adhering to food safety standards. Responsibilities - Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices. - Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. - Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. - Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. - Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests. - Demonstrate excellent knife skills and cooking techniques while maintaining quality control. Experience - Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. - Strong background in food service, including knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. - Experience in the restaurant industry with hands-on kitchen experience is essential. - Culinary experience that demonstrates proficiency in cooking techniques and food handling skills is required.
