As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled finance professional to support and strengthen our financial operations. About the role: Reporting to the General Manager and Owner, the Finance Coordinator plays a key role in overseeing the full accounting cycle and ensuring the company’s financial accuracy, integrity, and compliance. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations while contributing to process improvements and supporting business growth. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable (AP): - Review and verify payables; reconcile vendor statements - Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments - Maintain accurate records in compliance with company budgets and policies Accounts Receivable (AR): - Prepare invoices and monthly statements - Ensure timely receipt and accurate recording of payments - Monitor and follow up on overdue accounts; report issues to management Payroll: - Process payroll and ensure accuracy of wages, salaries, vacation, sick time, and statutory deductions - Ensure timely reporting and payment of source deductions Banking & Cash Management: - Process and record deposits (cash, cheques, e-transfers, government funding, PADs) - Prepare bank deposits and maintain retail floats - Perform cash reconciliations - Preform bank and credit card reconciliations General Accounting & Reporting: - Maintain general ledger accuracy - Prepare quarterly financial reports for management - Prepare annual year end reports for management and accountant - Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting - Support tax preparation and ensure timely compliance with all filings Operations Support: - Manage purchasing and inventory-related financial documentation - Maintain and optimize financial systems (Sage/Intacct preferred) - Document and improve financial procedures to support growth - Provide support to sales and administrative teams as needed - Contribute to special projects and other duties as required Qualifications & Experience · 5–8+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience · Strong knowledge of full-cycle accounting · Experience with Sage (Intacct preferred) · Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office 365 · Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities · Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills · High level of integrity, reliability, and accountability · Comfortable learning new systems and adapting to change · 65+ WPM keyboarding with the ability to use the numerical keypad We will be reviewing the applicants starting June 1st.
