Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our kitchen. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced workplace. This role involves preparing ingredients, cooking meals, and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly while adhering to food safety standards. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including proper food handling and storage practices. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours. Monitor food inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Participate in catering events as required, providing exceptional service to guests. Demonstrate excellent knife skills and cooking techniques while maintaining quality control. Experience Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is preferred. Robust background in food service, including knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices. Experience in the restaurant industry with hands-on kitchen experience is essential. Culinary experience that demonstrates proficiency in cooking techniques and food handling skills is required.
