Description
My client is a construction owners rep firm that operate across BC. They are expanding onto Vancouver Island and are looking to add an experienced Project Manager based in Victoria. My client specializes in taking construction projects through their life cycle from design and permitting, all the way through to completion of construction. They work on a variety of projects both public and private that span across the residential, institutional and commercial sectors. This is an exiting time to join a growing company that offer real progression and a outstanding work life balance. In this role you will be responsible for: - Acting as the main representative for the owner/client - Managing the project from planning through completion - Coordinating architects, engineers, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders - Developing and monitoring project budgets - Tracking schedules and project milestones - Reviewing contracts, scopes, bids, and change orders - Managing procurement and tender processes - Monitoring construction progress and site activities - Leading project meetings and providing status reports to ownership - Identifying project risks and resolving issues proactively - Ensuring quality control and compliance with drawings/specifications - Overseeing permitting and regulatory requirements - Reviewing invoices, progress claims, and cost reports - Managing RFIs, submittals, and document control - Supporting value engineering and cost-saving initiatives - Ensuring health and safety standards are being followed - Coordinating occupancy, commissioning, and project closeout - Managing deficiencies, warranty items, and turnover documentation - Maintaining communication between ownership and the construction team - Protecting the owner’s commercial and operational interests throughout the project Requirements: - Must have experience working in an owners rep role on construction projects in North America - Open to experience working with GC’s or contacts alongside the owners rep experience - Must have worked on new build projects can be Residential or ICI over $30M - Comfortable in front of clients and buildings long lasting relationships - Strong communicator both written and verbal - Be based in Victoria, BC Compensation - Salary range $100,000 - $140,000 (depending on experience) - Work from home and hybrid work on offer - 3-4 weeks’ vacation - Bonus structure - Medical and dental benefits Apply on Kit Job: kitjob.ca/job/2pcg69
